Different Types of Hotel Kitchen Cleaning Agents / Chemicals (D1 to D10)
Different types of cleaning agents are used to keep the hotel kitchen and working area in a neat and hygienic condition because there is no responsibility greater than protecting the guests who eat the food which is produced from the kitchen.
When it comes to kitchen cleaning chemicals/agents Taski or Diversey or Suma products are considered as the benchmark in the hospitality industry.
There are specific products which need to be used for each kitchen cleaning requirement and these cleaning agents are given specific codes eg: D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, D8, D9, D10 etc. And the letter ‘D’ Stands for ‘Degreasers’ for ease of identification, recognition and use.
Suma / Diversey D1: Manual Dishwashing Concentrate
Description and Benefits:
Suma D1 is a concentrated, high foaming manual dishwashing detergent for use on pots, pans, utensils, equipment and hard surfaces.

How to Dilute and use:
For cleaning:
20 ml of D1 in 20 ltr. water
For heavily soiled items, use higher concentrations.
Dilute into a suitable container.
Change water regularly.
Suma / Diversey D2: All-purpose cleaning agent
Description and Benefits:
Suma D2 is a concentrated all-purpose detergent for cleaning of hard surfaces in food premises, including floors, walls, doors, ceilings and general equipment.
D2 is a powerful, fast-acting degreaser.
Suitable for cleaning all kind of hard surfaces and materials like for e.g. plastics, paintwork or polished metals etc.
D2 is Non-perfumed
D2 is Non-tainting.
Leaves no mineral deposits on drying.
Rinsing is not normally required.
How to Dilute and use:
Spray Cleaning:
Use at a concentration of 20 ml to 750 ml of water into a spray bottle.
Spray surface with the solution and clean with damp cloth.
Rinse food contact surfaces with clean water and allow to air dry.
General cleaning:
Use at a concentration of 5-20 ml/L (0.5-2.0%) of hand warm water.
Clean surfaces using cloth, brush or mop system.
Rinse food contact surfaces with clean water and allow to air dry.
Floor cleaning:
Dilute product 10-20 ml/L (1.0-2.0%) in hot water.
Apply solution with the mop.
Remove dirt with the mop.
Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.
Suma / Diversey D3: Heavy Duty Degreaser
Description and Benefits:
Suma D3 is ready to use liquid degreaser for the removal of fat, carbon and oil from kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, cooker hoods, pans and interiors of dishwashing machines etc.
Safe on Aluminium and other soft metals.
Powerful multi-purpose degreaser.
Effectively removes baked-on grease, fat and carbon deposits.
D3 is Non-perfumed.
D3 is Non-tainting.
How to Dilute and use:
Spray:
Spray Suma D3 on the surface to be cleaned.
Leave for a few minutes depending on soiling.
Remove soiling with a sponge.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry.
Do not apply to surfaces above 70°C.
Canopies, Hoods and Filters:
Clear area of food and protect food contact surfaces.
Spray directly on to the surface.
Leave for 10-30 minutes depending upon soiling.
Remove loose deposits with scrubber or sponge.
Pay attention to internal drain channels.
Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.
Suma / Diversey D4: Sanitizer / Disinfectant
Description and Benefits:
Suma D4 is ready to use disinfectant spray for use on all hard surfaces.
Easy to use trigger spray.
Effective against a wide spectrum of micro-organisms, which improves hygiene.
